Building on the size and scope of its product claim validation testing protocol, Isuzu Commercial Trucks of America returned to Pro Formance Group with a request to support its results with a slate of independent tests during winter 2018.
Class 4, Class 5 and Class 6 Isuzu offerings as well as their competitors were evaluated during this program, doubling the number of vehicles included in the test since the previous one conducted in 2016.
A two-fold increase in vehicles resulted in a ten-fold level of complexity and moving parts for the 2018 testing program, but the PFG team handled the logistics with a solid base of experience and knowledge of the manufacturer’s strengths and competencies from its previous evaluation. PFG ensured that each vehicle was driven by a number of testers in order to increase the data sampling size.
Isuzu officials also requested that video capture the entirety of the testing program and PFG staff used both drones and camera gimballs to capture stunning footage and still shots as the program progressed.
Ultimately, the testing program provided clean, precise and accurate data on all the vehicles tested through the use of proper measurement, sound methodology and instrumentation.
