It was three days of work and fun in the January Florida sunshine, as PFG started the 2020 Ford Driving Skills for Life teen driver education season in Orlando. And wouldn't you know it, the 24 Hours of Daytona was held the same weekend. Several PFG regulars were a part of the race in one way or another, so the staff on site were able to get those update texts as we ran our program!
The event was held at the Manheim Orlando auction and saw some terrific attendance. 2020 is the 17th year of our work with the Ford Motor Company and their award winning Ford Driving Skills for Life teen driver education program. We have are honored and humbled to have been able to work with Ford philanthropic arm for almost two decades, and if the Orlando event was any indication, 2020 is going to be a great year for all of us.
2019 was a busy year for the PFG team overall, and it ramped up just before the end of the year. The traditional November Arizona auto show had PFG supporting Ford with a branded consumer ride and drive in downtown Phoenix. We have been managing that ride and drive for the local Ford region for almost a decade.
On the heels of that successful event was the season-closing program for the Ford Driving Skills for Life, also held in Phoenix. We saw a record number of attendees yet again. We want to thank the staff at the Phoenix Fire Academy for once again providing us one of the best sites we have on our calendar!
Once the programs were completed, it was back to the PFG warehouse in Chandler to prepare for our kick off event in January, 2020. Details to follow, so stay tuned!
